The_Accidental_Prime_Minister

Making film on politics or states in India was not easy yet, but 'The Accidental Prime Minister' has started this series. Probably this is the first such film in which all those leaders have been shown with the name, which have been great names in the political field.

This film is based on the book written by this name by Sanjay Baru. Sanjay Baru was a journalist. When Manmohan Singh assumed charge of the Prime Minister in 2004, then appointed Sanjay as his Media Advisor. Sanjay used to write Manmohan Singh's speech and gave them urgent advice. He has written his own experience in the book.

The fact is that the former Prime Minister and Sanjay know about how much reality and how much to cheat. Sanjay has kept his talk through the book and the PMO has rebutted the words written in the book, that is, it has been a lie. It depends on the filmmaker or the reader of the book how much he eclipses.

It has been shown in the film that in 2004 Congress formed the government through coalition. Sonia Gandhi wanted to be the Prime Minister, but against the issue of her foreign status, people were finally elected Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister. Suddenly, Manmohan became Prime Minister, Sonia and her team wanted to keep hold of, so a committee was formed.

Manmohan had to look towards the high command for every decision. Manmohan needed a partner and he kept Sanjay Baru. Sanjay came between the party and the prime minister. With the advice of Sanjay Singh, Manmohan has made many tough decisions that intimidate the Congress party. For example, the former Prime Minister, on nuclear deal, did not care that some parties could drop their government.

When the high command created much pressure, Manmohan Singh also offered to quit, which was turned down because there was no favorable atmosphere for Rahul Gandhi at that time. Through this film it has been shown that Manmohan Singh was very wise, but his condition was like Bhishma, who considered only one family as everything.

Directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, this film was a huge opportunity, which would have been something else if someone made a mentored director. Vijay has definitely done his part, but the matter has not been fully realized. At the beginning of the film, it has been shown that the film has been made for entertainment, some imagery has been added, which makes the question mark only on the seriousness of the film.

The shocking disclosures in the film are very low, as the party's attitude towards the last rites of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao was not correct, if the numbers were high then the weight of the film would have increased. Also the film does not go very deep.

Manmohan Singh is said to be genius, but such scenes are less in the movie. Manmohan Singh is compelled and weak person all the time. He has been shown his wife with sensible.
The film proves to be more clever than Sanjay Baru. As if this book was written by Sanjay Baru for himself, how smart he is and he has only the hand behind the prime minister's important decisions. This influence in Baru's film also shines many times.

Vijay as a director does not affect too much. He has kept his presentations like 'gossip of corridors of politics', the film seems to be light-hearted, but there is not much depth in his direction. That thing got them energized so that their work became easier. The director has presented Rahul Gandhi as a 'Pappu' image which raises questions about his intentions.
In the first half, the PMO office, the bustle in it, the strategy of Congress to keep the Prime Minister in control, and the stubborn attitude of Manmohan Singh on nuclear deal looks good. In the second half the film direction goes astray and the director's grip becomes weak. Here Baru's stature is heavily shown that Manmohan Singh becomes helpless without him.

Anupam Kher has played the role of Manmohan Singh very well. Compulsion and shudder are expressed through their acting. The distinction of Anupam Kher and Manmohan Singh ends very soon due to his acting.

Akshay Khanna is the character of Sanjay Baru and his performance is also fantastic. There are many actors in small roles and the casting director has done his job well. The movie's cinematography is mediocre and some camera angles are big odd. The dialogues of the film are good, the scissors have also gone on some dialogues.

The Accidental Prime Minister is a subject on which a great film could be made but Vijay could not make full use of it. Despite this, those who are interested in politics can see this movie.
