Birth and death are two ends and the middle part is life. Some people remain unhappy despite all the comforts and some people continue to enjoy life in spite of all the deprivations. A few films have been made based on this philosophy and ‘The Sky is Pink’ also takes this forward.

Nothing can be worse for any parent than seeing their child go to death every second. The life of Niren (Farhan Akhtar) and Aditi (Priyanka Chopra) is disturbed when they find out that their recently born daughter Ayesha (Zaira Wasim) does not have the strength to fight infection and her life Is not long.

This sadness is further aggravated when they have already lost a daughter suffering from this disease. He also has a son who is very healthy.

The financial condition of Niren and Aditi is not so strong that they can get expensive treatment for their daughter in London. They help Ayesha with the help of donation. Some years keep him in London and then bring him to Delhi.

Ayesha’s health keeps going soft and hot. Aditi is a ‘Tiger Mom’ whose day starts with Ayesha and ends at the same. She is always worried about the daughter, but she keeps on fighting continuously, not kneeling in front of the situation. Niren works hard day and night to earn money so that Ayesha’s treatment continues properly.

‘The Sky Is Pink’ is inspired by the story of a motivational speaker named Ayesha Chaudhary who left the world at the young age of 19.

Ayesha’s story shows that she struggled, did not give up and lived life to the fullest in spite of being diagnosed with illness and being younger.

The film also indicates that Niren and Aditi did not compromise with the situation and they continued to fight with Ayesha until Ayesha’s last breath. Creating happy moments for Ayesha.

Shonali Bose has written and directed the film. He has also combined Niren and Aditi’s love story with Ayesha’s story. In the process of showing ‘cool couple’ to Niren and Aditi, the film seems fake at times, but some scenes have turned out to be good too. The same can be said for the film.

There was a lot of potential for emotions in the story. The good thing is that the director kept the film away from the unnecessary emotions and drama, but in spite of this, such films should have scenes which make the audience emotional and this deficiency also happens in the film. In the first half, the film deviates and the length of the film could also be reduced.

Ayali’s smile even in every situation and Niren-Aditi’s struggle is presented by Shonali well and there is a deep talk from the dialogues at some places.

Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra have kept the audience engaged with their great acting. Priyanka Chopra’s role is written in the way the role of heroines comes less. Priyanka’s performance is excellent. Mixed expressions of fighting spirit and sentimentality are constantly seen on his face and playing this role was not an easy task.

Farhan Akhtar has also played very well with Priyanka. They are ready to do anything to save their daughter. Zaira Wasim once again impresses with her acting. She is also the acting natural after Dangal, Secret Superstar in The Sky Is Pink.

The Sky Is Pink is like a car that deviates, but eventually reaches the destination.
