If the film had become better by investing more money, people would have made a film worth thousands of crores, but this formula is not true. This thing proves again after watching ‘Saaho’ prepared at a cost of 350 crores.
Saaho is a 174-minute film. Have spent more than two crore rupees on every minute, but there are not even three and a half minutes in the film which can entertain the audience.
The film was spent on action and stunts, but no effort was made to find the style story. How long you can watch action without a story. Does chutney fill your stomach?
From the first frame, Saaho is unable to connect with the audience. The sources of the story are not understood. After this, the matter gets out of hand. The viewer also gives up trying to understand something and keeps watching the incisive things that are happening on the screen.
Admittedly, ‘Saaho’ is a commercial film, but neither the action of the film is interesting nor the romance touches the heart. There are big things like theft of two thousand crore rupees, but there is absolutely no thrill in it. Saho, Masala is not able to live up to the expectations of film buffs.
Director Sujit’s entire focus was on making the film stylish. They didn’t even notice the screenplay. He was enthralling the audience, but what makes a good film with these dangers?
Now visitors cannot be entertained on the strength of high building, helicopter, car / bike chasing scene. All these things are useless without a story.
Sujit continued to spend money. If they were not going to spend money, then in one scene, they smashed the cars by mounting tanks on two cars, whereas this five-second scene has nothing to do with the film.
Spending money is also an art, which is not at all in Sujeet. Surprise is on those who gave Sujit such a huge budget. By the way, seeing the film, it does not seem that much money has been spent on it.
There are so many agers in the story that you will forget the count. Shraddha Kapoor is shot, but in the very next scene, she is seen doing well. There are many such flaws.
The continuity is nowhere to be seen while watching the film. Any kind of scene drips from anywhere. It seems that the scenes were shot but they could not find the story to be threaded, so somehow they were submitted. The film editor must have lost sweat in his work.
The action scenes of the film were very hilarious. Crores of rupees were thrown on them, but there is no strength in these stunts.
There is a big discussion of a ‘black box’ in the film and all the characters are behind it, but who wants to achieve through this black box is beyond comprehension.
Sujit’s presentation is completely confusing and it is meaningless to expect such from the audience when the people associated with the film are not getting anything wrong.
Each character was introduced as he wanted. The policeman suddenly becomes a thief and the thief starts playing police-police. Chunky Pandey interrupts and starts to chatter? Why they do, they themselves would not even know Chunky.
Mahesh Manjrekar would have certainly not understood what he is doing in the film? They hardly know the reason why Mandira Bedi is shooting and killing people.
If you have a nap then you will not know that Jacqueline Fernandes also appears in a song. Neil Nitin Mukesh, Tinu Anand, Evelyn Sharma remained unimpaired. Vanella teenagers are only slightly affected.
Why did Shraddha Kapoor fall in love with Prabhas, he has hardly asked this question. Watching Prabhas in ‘Saaho’ after Bahubali is like falling from the sky to the ground. He does not affect his acting at all. From above, he has spoken Hindi dialogues in such a way that I remembered the saying of ‘Karela woh neem chadha’.
It is useless to talk about songs. Background music suffers to some extent. This 174-minute film is a very difficult task to withstand.
350 crore rupees only one lesson to learn that the film should not be made as such.
