There is so much pressure nowadays to look good that many companies take advantage of this and decry the goods. There are advertisements all around us to increase the length, from fair complexion to the hair on the bald head.

What should people do, such is the demand of society. If girls do not marry bald or short boys, then boys need ‘white’ and its demand can be seen in the advertisement of ‘bride bride’.

The story of ‘Bala’ has been woven around these things. Last week, Ujra Chaman was based on this subject where she was a hero and fat heroine with thick hair at a young age. ‘Bala’ shows the issue of skin color with baldness.

The story is set in Kanpur and now Uttar Pradesh has been shown so much in Hindi films that the films have started getting typed. At the same time street-street, big-name characters, boys and girls showing street-smartness.

Bala lost his hair even before his celibacy was over. Because of this, in his company too, he started getting second-rate treatment. Being bald she is not considered to be young and energetic. The childhood girlfriend also leaves him with whom he was attracted to the fair complexion.

He put the vessel on his head with the onion juice and even the semen of the bull, but instead of getting hair the hair became shorter. Due to diabetes, the risk of hair transplantation could not be taken.

Defeated, he puts on the wig and a fairy girl Yami Gautam gives him heart. The marriage is finalized, but the angel does not know that Bala has fake hair on his head, not real.

Niren Bhatt’s story does not have much twisting and turning, so he has tried to entertain the audience by strengthening the characters. Bala’s father (Saurabh Shukla) has played a match in the Ranji Trophy. Javed Jaffrey’s character is the legend of Amitabh Bachchan who lives and talks in the style of Big-B. There is a hairdresser and a aunt with a mustache.

Yami Gautam’s character is also excellent. Who has become a ‘celebrity’ by uploading a video on tick-talk and the show has understood everything.

But Bhumi Pednekar’s character is not written properly. One, they have been applied too much color to darken the skin of the land. His character was to be longer. The adventurous thing would have happened if the filmmaker had chosen an actress who was naturally dark.

The film Bala is well written, but its making is not as good. It is fun to read a book and not to watch a movie. Director Amar Kaushik could not add much on his part.

The film is enhanced through fun characters and one liners, but in the second half the film starts panting.
Fairy and Bala’s love story is completely unbelievable. How a smart girl like Pari does not know that Bala’s hair is fake? The last 15-20 minutes is great.

Ayushmann Khurrana has portrayed the pain of a bald person well on screen. According to every scene, expressions have appeared on his face. Yami Gautam is also seen in form and leaves a good impression in small rolls. Bhoomi Pednekar gets good scenes towards the end of the film and her role was to be long. Supporting cast including Saurabh Shukla is good. Vijay Raj’s voice over is excellent.

Bala is great in film parts. Entertains a little. Raises some issues and is weak in some places but does its work.
